Got my Nitro back today and it's amazing what difference tubes make. I bought the amp with tungsol el34s in it as well as tungsols in the preamp. Laura set me up with Rubyel34bstr power tubes and a Ruby AC5 for v1 and some more tungsols to round out the preamp section. Laura tolerated many emails from me most of which entailed me being clueless about tube selection. A true professional. I highly recommend buying from her.
The tech who biased the amp said the tubes were very well matched. All I know is that it sounds better than it did out of the box and I was not expecting that.
