She has the EL34Bs and sings her pretty head off, especially with my PRS McCarty with Tremonti pickups, but she also sounds incredible thru my Les Pauls, Teles and Strats too.........Thanks and awesome job to Scott and Josh and all the guys at Splawn Amplification. She has retired my modded 5150 and my 1981 JCM 800 2204.

Thanks, TuskerKevin, i waited a few years before i bought a Splawn, but have been around them a lot with my buds in Disciple, and being around Kutless. Always loved the tone of the QR, and flipped when i heard the first clips of the Nitro. It was a long wait, but WELL worth it!

Looks great man!
I love the 'seasoned' cab. Major mojo there.
My guitar looks a lot like yours but it is a Schecter.
Contrats.
(PS did those other bands use Splawn?) I ask because I'm getting ready to create a thread that captures any professional band/musician using/or used to use Splawn.

How does it compare to your 5150?

As far as comparing it to my 5150, it has more, usable gain, a Marshallesque midrange, and better, tighter bottom end. I like the 5150, but mine has had a few mods, recitfier tube mod, Cameron style preamp cap mod, switchable slope resistor mod......my 5150 is smoother and tighter than stock. I did the mods myself and love the amp, but the SC is my dream amp and my others will get a bit lonely now. I am thinking about pairing the SC and 5150 together and see what happens just for fun, but my SC is my main and most likely only tone machine now.

Splawndude, yes the others use Splawns as well, but my initial exposure to Scott's magic thru Brad Noah, i heard a Plexi that Scott modded, then Brad started using his Quick Rod and a Pro Mod if i remember correctly. That started my love affair with Splawns.
