I've done a few gigs with streetrod combo I bought used and thrilled with it. I do find that I'm running my lead channel volume significantly higher then the clean channel to get the same volume. Typically I might have the clean around 8-9 o'clock on the dial and the lead up to around 11 o'clock with the solo around 2:00. Just seems unusual - my experience with other amps its the other way around. Sounds good though. Just wondering if others or similar or if Im missing something. I use delay's in the loop and run my loop volume somewhere between 2/3-3/4 up depending on the volume of the band.
Thanks, Mike

Pretty typical in my experience. Distorted guitar tones are very compressed and will never cut as well as clean tones, which have very little compression if at all. You can run a compressor on the clean if it bothers you. My clean channel vol is about 3/4 way up and my dirty channel is about 1/4 the way up.

Thanks - but if I read your post correctly, you're running the volume of your gain channel significantly lower then your clean channel to get comparable volume. I have to do the opposite - if i run my clean channel more then a 1/4-1/3 way up, there is no way my gain channel is going to keep up. Am I missing something or are our amps that different in the relative volume of the channels? I appreciate anybody straightening me out here - thank you.

Hey All!
I'm a newb here. Just got my first Splawn. STREET ROD! I just took mine to rehearsal and I'm finding the same thing here. Clean needs to be set lower than the gain channel.
I don't really see it as an issue. Just another adjustment to make. I think the comment about compression and cut is spot on.
LOVE THIS AMP!
Hoping a NITRO combo is created someday soon!

Well yeah the post I made about the clean channel cutting may still apply there.

One of the reasons I ditched my Quickrod is that the clean channel had to be ran at such a low setting it was difficult to adjust live and the SLIGHTEST turn would be too loud or soft . Sounds like the streetrod has a similar ratio but hopefully not so touchy so if you can turn it up to 1/4 I would be happy!
