Geez, has it been this long since I logged in here? I can't believe it! How'd I miss this??? (And I sincerely apologize for the thread necromancy.) Anyway, yeah sure, if you want to get the switch installed, can do. Trying to get all of my ducks in a row to come out with my own overdrive pedal -- sourcing parts, etc. Also have an idea for the ultimate corksniffer pedal especially since I came up with that term as related to guitar gear at least. It's just something for fun since so much of guitar gear is so deadly serious, ever notice that? When it's done, I'll post photos of it here. No need to post clips because if you don't have sufficiently golden ears, you won't be able to hear the difference it makes to one's tone anyway. Y'know, as in the usual circular logic of, "You can't prove it doesn't make a difference, so that proves it does."

Right now, what I am doing is finishing up a stack of pedals for customers. I have one here, it's an early 80s 250, guy insisted on the full mod. Hey, it's his pedal. Was missing a bottom plate, battery clip, few other things, fairly trashed up. I actually have a bottom plate from an old DOD AB switch box, so he is going to get that. Went down to Lowe's to find some screws which would fit. Figured the enclosure was US-made, so they wouldn't be metric screws. They weren't. Also had to replace the pots as one was completely broken. A little extra work and effort on this one, but it's gratifying to know that he's going to have a functional pedal. I've sourced a limited supply of 1970s RCA chips, so I've been using those. They maybe have a bit less gain, so they're a little more detailed and open on the low end. The pedal to all intents and purposes is truly a Boost/Overdrive with the chip and different diodes. Really smooth. I have to say, and this may seem immodest, but they've been turning out very nicely. Now I just have to modify one for myself with the RCA chip, but I never feel like doing it after I've modified a bunch of pedals. It's like the contractor whose house is the last one to get any work done on it.

Had to give an update on my Analogman Modded Outlier Modded YJM308..........
The pedal has been collecting dust. The cover band I was in did Tool, Disturbed,Godsmack.... hardly the place for this pedal to shine. Then the band disbanded about 6 months ago.
Last month I landed a gig with a 80s style cover band that plays 3 weekends a month. The setlist is basically the soundtrack to my 1980's childhood guitar playing days. I got my YJM pedal out and strapped it on my board and used my Music Zoo Charvel with a single coil pickup and I truly have rediscovered "unleashing the fury." Im no Ynwie fan and really never listened to him but I was huge into Chris Impelliteri in my youth...especially his instructional video " Speed Soloing." With the new cover band I have rediscovered my love of that style of shred music and the YJM308 pedal is an integral part of my tone.
If you like the shred stuff you owe it to yourself to get an outlier modded pedal and run some single coil pickups through it.

Bro, you should definitely try out a hotcake for your '08 nitro. Best kept secret in pedal history.
