Yeah, cool. Sounds a tiny bit jagged to me (you probably just like a higher presence setting than I do) but overall it's bitchin'.

Sounds good, I need to get something like that. I tried a Flip but the Nitro just exploded the bottom end no matter what I did.

Yeah i hear it too ayton(e) I need to mess around with the camera placement and see what it does to improve the tone. I know it loses some of the bottom end and is a little sizzley on top. My ears are probably a little shot from all the years of loud volume playing and I might be trying to compensate lol But thanks guys!!! I sure would like to record the sound via a real mic and just use the camera for video so if ya have any suggestion please share ; ) The recorder also has a couple of different mic settings so I'll have to screw around and see what happens with that also. Lewis it really is a pretty cool little video recorder.

I just bought the alesis and I think it SUCKS! Too much high end, no low end and the video quality is piss poor. I'm taking mine back. Your vid quality seems better than mine so I wonder if I got a defective unit.

That very well could be brother maybe try another one and see how it does. My video quality isn't the greatest but I can live with it. i still haven't had a chance to mess around with mic settings on the recorder yet so I'm interested to see how it will effect the tone. I did read some reviews where some guys had horrible results and others it worked out great for.

Yeah I think if I got it for the sale price like you did I would keep it and deal with it but I paid full price ($179) and it's definitely not worth that scratch. All you can really change is the low, med, high level so it really doesn't affect the tone, just the vol level. Pretty disappointing IMO. I think I will return t and get the Zoom H4n like I originally wanted.

Sounds great to me! Nice bark starting around 1:10, heck, that point on through to 1:50 is a sweet, woody tone!
