Got this video recorder for my birthday and wanted to see how it would capture the beasts tones. I'm playing pretty quiet using the loop. I'm in gear 1 od 1 at about 3 oclock. The recorder seems to drop some of the low end out of the sound. I'll have to screw around with the settings and see what I can get out of it. Sorry for the delay. I wasn't sure if the thing was recording. lol The next time I'll turn the tv down. What can I say it's football season. ;D

Thank you dcf. I think it will work great for recording band practice which is exactly what i bought it for. I hate losing cool ideas. The ole memory isn't as good as it use to be. ; )

that alesis video track looks pretty neat actually....we have a camcorder that's about four years old..uses the small 'digital' tapes...it's a pain in the ass to transfer sh!t to the computer..that and I'm lazy..we've been looking into getting something better for everyday stuff...b-day parties, x-mas, etc, etc, etc....does this thing work for every day stuff too? I'm not an uberprofessional so it doesn't need to be able to pick fly sh!t outta pepper at a thousand yards or anything =D

Hey shredder yeah mine has the new loop volume I love it for stuff like this. The recorder is really cool and would work great for everyday stuff. Mine came with a 2 gb sd card and i can record about an hour and half of stuff . It zooms in 3 increments and has 3 different mic level options. It will also take still pics so it doubles as a camera too. The only draw back i guess is it is not HD but I really didnt care about that. It plugs right into your computer with a usb cable and the software it came with is really easy to use. You can upload to you tube with one click : ) They say you can mount it to a tripod but I don't have one. i hope this helps.Oh yeah I got mine on sale on black friday for like $90 online from Guitar center : )

it's not that I don't like my camcorder..but transferring tape based stuff to a pc is a pain in the nuts!!!
