I set my nitro up for my show tonight and turned it on to warm up the tubes.
I forgot to plug the speakers in though. Because I'm so dumb.
I realized it when no sound came out.
I had no choice but to play the show with it anyway.
It sounded fine for the first hour or so but then the speaker started to fart out (it sounded like the speaker was ripped. Though I doubt it is).
I've never screwed up an amp this way before so I don't know if the ripping sound was due to my mistake or not. I don't how that would sound if I had ruined something.
1) Should I be worried that I damaged the amp?
2) Does anyone know what the symptoms are of damage resulting from this sort of error?
3) Does anyone if splawn is open on Saturdays? For me to call and talk to one of the guys?

If you sent a guitar signal into a hot amp with no load that could be bad yes. I'd get in touch with Splawn HQ via email and let Scott or Josh guide you on a recommendation. Torn speaker sound does not sound good to me. What cab and speakers do you have BTW? With no load - your output transformer takes a big hit strain wise.
You can run an amp without a load as long as no signal passes through. I think. I wouldn't even want to begin to diagnose this. I'm not an amp tech so. I'm out. Call Josh.

Thanks for the advice. The amp volume and the loop master were both set quite low. I read up on this last night after the gig. I think (pray) it'll be okay but I really need to be more careful.
I'm gonna call my amp tech today and depending on heat he says I'll call Splawn tomorrow.

I was biasing my amp years ago and done the same thing. Once I realized what I had done I quickly shut it down. Lucky me,it played fine afterward no problem .
