Loop Volume Problem

When I engaged the loop my volume goes down and back up and crackling static noise. I thought it may just need a cleaning coz it makes some noise when I push in the engaged button and also when I push in and out of the +4 -10 button but so far that hasnt helped. There is nothing plugged in the loop. I am just using the volume loop.

Any suggestions?

I've heard of this problem before. You may want to call Scott. I kinda think what I remember hearing was that the recommendation was to use a little cleaner and push the switches in and out numerous times. It's likely just some gunk in the switch(es). But I suggest you call Scott to make sure.
