It's been awhile since I've posted here, but I just got this in last week so I figured I'd post a pic. A brand new Nitro with KT88s. Love the KT88s in this amp.

Someone was selling one recently on the Austin CL along with a cab. I'd have bought the cab if it wasn't slant.

Looks awesome. Congrats!
how do you compare it to the Uber and XTC and what kind of Splawn did you have before?

Looks awesome. Congrats! how do you compare it to the Uber and XTC and what kind of Splawn did you have before? Thanks. I had a 2008 Nitro with KT77s then el34s. The Uber has more gain/saturation/low-end - much darker sounding.More compressed too. The Nitro is tighter and not as saturated sounding - more aggressive in the mids. The uber tends to sound harsh if you go too heavy with the mids/presence. The XTC is more vintaged voiced, darker and not as aggressive sounding as the uber or nitro. About the same amount of gain on the red channel as the nitro, but sounds more satruated/wet.
