Was hoping to hear opinions on the sonic difference for those with the opportunity to compare Splawn 4x12's with both options. Thanks!

The only front loaded cab I have is an Earcandy Buzzbomb with Sugarcones (2x12 - front ported and front loaded). Compared to my mesa (2x12) and my Splawn (4x12) I would say the Earcandy is really in your face sounding. If that makes sense. Not really beamy, like mesa's can be, but very present and not open or woody. My mesa is beamy and dark sounding (loose bass imo). The Splawn sounds like a dream, and I believe it is rear loaded. I would have to put similar speakers in 2 cabs to make a really good judgement on the difference.
