I noticed sunday that I was having some trouble with easy licks that involve my pinky then last night I was having a hard time making bends using my pinky . Tonight I cant make the bends at all with my pinky and my other fingers on my left hand don't seem to work well either. I can't even run scales . Don't really know what to think about it . I'm trying not to jump to conclusions I guess I will have to wait and see whats going on

no pain just doesn't work Part of the reason I was away from the forum for so long was a condition called frozen shoulder, which affected my right arm and shoulder. I'm still being treated by a Chiropractor and suffered similar issues in terms of co-ordination. But I'm pretty much back to nomal now. The whole thing hingeing on nerves being trapped in my neck and shoulder. I'd definitely visit you Doctor on this one, just in case.

Theres a book by Scott Tennant called "Pumping Nylon".. every serious player should own this book. In the middle somewhere there are daily warmup exercises designed to prevent this type of thing... they totally work. You should get on a tighter practice regiment and warmup routine.

its tae kwon do sparring . and my hand started working again not sure what the problem was think it may have been extreme fatigue . My hand wasn't broken on 8/20 just a bad sprain to my right thumb . But last night I definitely broke my left hand while sparring . I have the xrays t prove it . can you say .......SON OF A B&TCH!! Makes me want to lay down and cry , not from the pain but because I cant play guitar now .I'm just a hack that plays at home and in church but playing guitar is what keeps me sane .Going to the orthopedic doc in a few hours hope he has good news.

Playing musical instruments + Punching stuff = bad combination.. I would suggest gardening or chess as an alternative to sparring, lol.

Last night I broke my toe while practicing a turning round house kick . Not really sure how it happened except that after my foot hit the bag, some how it hit the base and broke the sh!t out of my toe . Now it points in 2 directions at once and hurts so bad I can't put any weight on that foot . Ive broken toes before but never had one hurt so bad i couldn't walk . Normally I would be like ok now I can sit around and play guitar all day but I cant do that CAUSE MY HAND IS BROKEN . Hmmm chess is sounding better all the time

I took Jiu Jitsu for almost a year and had to quit because it was really affecting my playing. My wrists were in constant pain. I play chess ALL the time,,
