Easiest audio editor for PC

Hi all,

I am trying to get going with this computer music thing! lol I have an M-Box, and a little experience with Acid Pro. However, the editing is kind of lame there, or at least I can't do it well enough, the latency and imprecision ruins my tracks.

So I am looking for a better editor. Pro Tools is the de-facto one of course, but it seems like there are probably easier ones to use.

Any thoughts?

Did you get Protools with your Mbox? Thats what I have and it works great for me, although Im still learning alot.

Well,

sort of. I got the Mbox 2nd hand, and the Pro Tools CD didn't really install right. It was like 6.x, I might buy 7 LE here soon if I decide on Pro Tools. Everyone I know uses it too.
