Hey!
I played a large CT venue last night called Rookies. After setting up my new Street Rod and matching 4X12 cab, the sound guy started chatting with me about about Splawn. I of course took the opportunity to tell him all I know. Very nice guy. I went first for setting up the sound and almost instantly, after hitting some VH riffs, the sound guy "talked back" through the PA: "Man!...listen to that thing...right out of the box!...that is AWESOME!!"
Nothing backs you up on stage like a Splawn. Nothing.

Awsome!!! I know the Street Rod is new but why the 4x12? Why not just use the Quick Rod?? I know you can't go wrong either way!! lol.... but the load in and load out thats a ton of work! will the SR handle a gig without the extension cab?.....

I love the look...plus it adds even more oooomphhh...(plus, being 41, I don't have to strain to reach the controls as much!! ahahah!!!...they're higher up....) I have played gigs without the additional 4X12 and the combo just rocks! It absolutely does NOT need the 4X12.....it forces me to move more gear, but I just love it! The combo is actually "gain-y-er than my QR head......something to do with plate voltage according to Scott.....whatever!...It sounds AWESOME.....Don't get me wrong....my QR is just as awesome as well.
