I was so happy with the way my amp sounded after Josh retubed it, I had to record it! Super simple setup with the splawn into a marshall 1960, audix f15 mic into presonus firestudio. no mixing or mastering, just a quick tune to compare my old sound with my new one. www.netmusicians.org/index.php?section=user&value=angushung

Thrash Splawn for sure. Sounds cool dude. The Splawn sounds very tight in this mix. I really like when someone posts something that goes against the "norm" of 80's shred with the Splawn. We all know it rocks the 80's shred. It also rocks on this. Nice dude. I liked it.

Ha, thanks shred. I've had that stage name for the past 8 years or so. It was my Dead Kings name but I use it for just about everything. Also, the clip above was a bit of an experiment to see how the Audix mic would track guitar. We use two of the Audix f15's for drum overheads. I guess it works for guitar too although I think I will switch back to the trusty sm57.
