Hard to describe, but I believe the SB's are the Splawn/Eminence version of the Celestion Greenbacks but a little higher wattage (55 watts). The BB's are modeled after the G12H30 (Vintage 30's I think) and are rated around 60 watts. You should get a bit more speaker break-up with the SB's than with the BB's. I have a Splawn 4X12 with SB's and love the sound... never tried the BB's though. I did play my QR through a Vintage 30 loaded cab while waiting for my Splawn cab. It sounded good to me but I like the Splawn 4X12 w/SB's much better. Warmer and more focussed with just the right amount of break-up (for me).

I'm running SB's & BB's in a X-pattern and as sasquatch stated the SB's are warm and focused but also kind of dark compared to BB's. The BB's are brighter, more in your face and actually a bit harsh but it's a good balance when using the 2 different speakers together.
