Fantastic amplifiers in my opinion. I just put a clip on youtube for a customer with some various settings on both clean and overdrive channels.

I am seriously thinking of ditching one of my amps and going for a Street Rod.

I have the white SR head with blue stripe mentioned in the other thread topic. I've had it for about a month and I'm still discovering great things with it through various cabs, especially with the clean channel. Not many dislikes so far! I'll post my favorite head/cab combination soon. Nice to be here and meet everyone.

I've had my SR for almost a year now. I think I got one of the first ones made. I've sold all my other amps (Splawn heads) at this point. I tried and owned many combos, but was never satisfied till I got the SR.
I was looking to downsize my rig but wanted to maintain a great sound and similar features (compared to my Splawn heads) -- and the SR fits the bill. It sounds great on quiet/home levels (plus it has the loop volume knob which I didn't have on my heads) and does great for gigs too. My amp is always mic'd at gigs, so the volume and bigness of a head and 4x12 didn't matter. Plus, it sounds pretty big anyway.
I'm kind of on the prowl for another 1x12 combo -- an inexpensive backup and second amp for visiting players at home.

Ever since Streetrods came out I was mad because that's the amp I really wanted when I bought a Quickrod back in 2008.I prefer 50w and always ran my Quickrod with 2 tubes(and really liked it ) but felt like it was overkill so I finally sold my Quickrod and ordered a Streetrod. Before I did once again I tried Bogner Budda Fuchs Engl New5150 Soldano CAE (2ndfav)Orange,Tophat, Z& Badcat among others and still thought a Splawn was the best choice. I sure hope reports are true &the pot tapers are better as well as the clean sound. Now the dreaded wait.

I love my SR. Got it a few months back. Works great with my new 80s hair metal covers project. I honestly think this is the happiest I've been with an amp EVER!
