I picked this used Pro Mod up last month not really sure how much I'd use it. I've been using a Bogner 101B since October and have really been digging that amp. I got the matching Splawn cab on Thursday and decided to bring the whole Splawn rig to a club show last night. First of all, you guys all know that these heads and those sb25 cabs are meant to be together. I could not believe how great this rig sounded. Everything was very clear and punchy and just sounded right. We have keys and they can tend to dominate the mix sometimes. This rig certainly helped me combat that. I have less money into the entire Splawn half stack than the USED Ecstasy head. Hmmm ... Oh, and thanks to the f'er who put a nice big gash in the back of my brand new cab. Bastard. Guess I'm keeping this one. LOL! I know, I know, sht happens...

Thanks, bro. I'm glad you were selling and I'm glad I went for it. Totally worth it. I want to get another couple of shows under my belt before I decide but this might be the amp I use going forward.

OK, I've now used the Pro Mod and Splawn sb25 rig for over 2 months and 10 shows on various size stages and various size rooms (small, large and outside). This thing f'ing SLAMS! Sold the Mesa recto 4x12. I still like my Bogner 101B but I just don't need it. The Pro Mod does what I want. Now that I have the right cab, I want to try a Quickrod again (had one for 2 years but never had the Splawn cab).

Your rig is very similar to mine. ;D ;D ;D Sell all overpriced gear...the Splawn kills it anyway!! These amps are made for live use, they cut through mixes like no other I have played.

Blast from the past! I loved that Pro Mod, best sounding of all the Splawns I've had - especially while it still had the original 6550s. After those tubes died and I switched to KT88s, the head was never quite the same. Sold it a year or two ago when my band split up.
