This is the second QR I have owned... Same tube layout as the other one I had (4 pre & EL34's) but seems to have a more aggressive distortion to it. Absolutely ROCKS!  |

Both 2008 I believe... I know my first one was a 2008 model and the second is laid out exactly the same- they both have the 4 preamp tubes and no volume on the loop. The first one seemed to have a bit of clean mixed with the dirty channel. Had more punch & clairty but the second one its just all dirty. Not as punchy and "clear" as the first but more agressive and nasty sounding (which I like).
The only differance I know is the tubes. The first had mullard el34's and JJ ECC83 pre's whereas this one has ALL Electro Harmonix EL34's and 12ax7 pre's.
I also had the first one biased in at 35ma's on my meter and this one at the moment is closer to 22 MA's which is how I recieved it.
