:)Anybody had the opportunity to play thru one of these gems? Ken Fischer was the man. Watch this to the end and keep an open mind. The guy is a good player, not great, but the amps response is tremendous. Enjoy....... www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2_12Ler9B8

I played a couple at the NY Amp Show. Stunning amplifiers. A Komet will get you 90% of the sound for 1/10 the price!
I want a Komet reeeal bad!

You just missed one for sale at a low low price. Toddf007 had a Komet that I'm pretty sure he's sold. He might still have it. I can't say that I thought it was worth the price of admission for that amplifier. It sounded good but good should be unfrigginbelievable for the price tag of those amps.

I dunno.. I didn't like it. Very fuzzy and loose... the dirty sound was pretty awful and the cleaner sound was ok but does not approach the class A stuff from Dr. Z, Matchless etc.. I don't see it really.

Ok I watched it again.. the only train wreck I see is when this guy attempts to play anything with distortion. I love the unrelentless tension of a slow ascending Major scale that doesn't resolve to the root....followed by a coy look which gives the impression that .. "yeah I know this one scale, but I'm not gonna finish it"... very outside. nice.

At least he wore a shirt that matched the amp.

I agree with DC, it sounds fizzy, might be those speakers bringin' the fizz.
I'm pretty sure you could make a stock JTM45 sound like more or less like it with a boost up front.

I really liked it. I play a lot of rowdy blues (Gary Moore or Joe Bonamassa type stuff) and that tone is great. Playing blues with an 80's metal tone just don't cut it. Now I do love the 80's rock tones as well but they both have their place.
