I am very interested in the new Street Rod Combo. I have not been able to locate a picture or manual that indicates what the individual controls are on the front panel. I have heard some ideas, but I would like some concrete information before I pull the trigger. I sent a couple of emails to Scott Splawn over the last couple of months but to no avail. A friend of mine from Wild West Guitars is a Splawn endorsee, however, he plays a NITRO and I did not want to bother him with contacting Scott as I am sure he is very busy. Anybody out there have any ideas or know exactly what the front controls are on the Street Rod. Thank you in advance for your time...Chris

its the same as the quick rod just flipped over I think that's almost entirely true, but I read that the clean channel does not have a gain knob. |

No it is not .It is based on a qr ,but it's components are different.

There are are some pic's on the Splawn site. Click on the pic of the Street Rod front panel and you can clearly see the layout (no gain control for clean channel). Based on the description and some of the pic's, it seems like it's modeled after some of the earlier QR's (3 preamp tube models). I think some of the earliest QR's were 50-watters weren't they???
