:)Hey fellow Splawners. I finally scraped together enough cash to order the matching cab for my head. Del time is 1.5 to 2 wks. I'm jacked! I just hope it arrives safely. I saw all the posts about FedEx horror stories....makes me a little nervous...

Matching as in red and black etc? That's going to be a sweet looking rig.

SB's....I'll be using this as a 3/4 stack with a 2x12 g-flex on the bottom. They recomended SB's. Should really fill the room. All six speakers facing different directions. It should really smooth out the sound as well, rather than beaming all six speakers in the same direction. You know how it goes...stand in front of it, blown away...a couple of steps to the left or right, gone. Drummer: "Turn up, I cant hear you". While all you hear is you. I was never fan of B cabs. I've used slants since 1977, and that's what my ears are used to. I think this is gonna be killer with the ported g-flex on the bottom.....we'll see:)

How would it sound with the G-Flex on top? Too boomy or would that work too? I'm not familiar with those Genz Benz cabs but they sure look killer.

:)Congrats to you as well X....what's it look like..can you post a few pix? They're sending me a new insert for the head to match the cab. I got my cab exactly 1 month after my QR. The grillcloth that's on the amp has been discontinued. I like the old cloth better. The new stuff has a very open pattern and is see-through so it looks darker.

:)Hey X, That is an awesome looking rig. I see what you mean about the grillecloth....I like the older stuff better too..... Hey chops, the gb is 21x30x14 and as you know, it's ported. It makes a perfect base for a 4x12. I don't think it would work on top. It kinda ends up acting like a sub for the 4x12. Cool!

You will have to let us know how it all sounds. So the G-Flex is made for bottom end? I think I might have to look into those as well. They sure look killer. With the Splawn cab and the SB's, dude, that'll be something to behold. Please let us know how it rates with and without the new cab.
