Hey guys, To those of you that have used both speakers, how would you say they compare to one another? Which do you perfer and why?
The reason I ask is because I have a 4x12 Splawn cab loaded with BB's and after using them for almost a year now I've come to the conclusion they are a bit cold & harsh to my ears (I know, that took a while). I noticed it right away but thought I might get used them or they just needed time to break in.
Do the SB's sound smoother, warmer? I use a QR and Nitro and alternate between the two.
I'd appreciate any insight you knowledgeable fellows can provide, thanks!

hey lewis I have never played the bb but I do have a splawn 4x12 loaded with the sb's and i love it. the cab has a nice bite but yet it produces nice thick smooth tones at the same time. you know you can order the sb's from the online store they are listed under special1 and I think they run around 100 bucks a piece. Maybe pick up two and run an x pattern.

G12H30 and Greenback, respectively, I think.

It's a big step and I'm really curious about differences between the two. Glad you're digging your SB's!

I have all SB's. 2 4x12 Splawn Cabs and I run a QuickRod and ProMod in stereo. I have had the Celestian Vintage 30's before and the 60 watters that come in some Marshall cabs. I went with the SB's based on speaking to Scott and Josh and thank goodness I did because it is the perfect speaker for me. They are killer. I like them better than the Vintage 30's and the higher watt Celestians. I do believe they are supposed to be similar to Greenbacks but not exactly. They can get down and dirty and I mean dirty, with real clarity though. They handle bottom end for days and definitely do not sound Cold and Harsh. I know what you mean by that statement and I can confidently say I bet you would notice the difference right away with SB's and you'd be happy you made the change. My .02 worth anyway.

Yeah the SB 25;s are just perfect. I have them in my 4x12 and 2x12. I couldn't imagine a speaker fitting these amps any better. I also have a BB 65 in my Rivera combo and I think it's ok but I'm sure I could find something better.
