i just got done watching a bunch of movies(over the past two days) and wanted to see what everyone else thought of them.
a perfect getaway- CRAP!!!! i guessed the "twist" ending in 10 minutes!! this movie followed a straight line almost to the point where i could say the lines of dialog before the characters did.
paranormal activity- i was probably the only person that did not see this in the theaters and i am glad i didn't..i think this is a movie you should watch for the first time in your home,pitch black with the surround CRANKED!! i had goosebumps all over my body three or four times.(alternate ending is WAAAAAYYYYY better than the theatrical too by the way).
the orphan- great movie,not really horror but a great suspense/thriller that was really well done..i kinda guessed what was going on but not to the extent that it really was(those of you who have seen it will get that one since i don't want to ruin it for anyone that hasn't seen it and wants to).
martyrs- what can i say..GREAT MOVIE!!! yet another example of great foreign suspense/horror,why oh why can't we make good movies like this,not a sequel,not a remake..oh my god here is a thought..something original and beautifully violent and thought provoking!! wow there's a concept.between this gem,high tension and the near perfect inside that just about rounds out my top 5 horror movies of all time.get the unrated version please!!
Inside- i had to throw this..if you are a horror fan (not pg-13 kiddiesh1t horror I'm talking old school gore and brutality horror!!) then you need to see this if you have not already this movie is my favorite horror movie of all time..sick as a mofo,gory as hell and as tense as it comes.how can a movie with about 15 people in it(including the extras) be this good?? watch it and find out!! again get it unrated since it is 7 minutes longer and although i have not seen the r-rated version i could only guess what they cut out...um THE GOOD STUFF!!!
trick-r-treat- last but not least another gem..GASP!! from the united states!! wow!! super cool creepshow type vibe with a bunch of short stories woven together to make a movie..BRILLIANT!! you see things in the movie and then see then from a different point of view later on. really cool, awesome stuff.and Thurman murman is in it for those who saw bad santa!
