Hey guys, yesterday we got word that our top salesman where i work, (we build Trenchers, Plows, etc for the drainage industry) was out visiting customers, dropping off parts, etc and somehow was in an auto accident with a semi.
We don't know anything about exactly where and how it happened, but he was wearing his seatbelt and was still thrown from the truck.
To make a long story short, he had severe abdominal injuries and massive head injuries with severe swelling. He's in ICU.
He made it through the night, but he was swollen so much that the docs couldn't run any tests for brainwaves. Eyes swollen shut and you couldn't even see his ears, we were told.
Around lunchtime we were told the family asked to take him off life support. My boss is up there with the family now.
He was a tremendous asset to the company, been there over 25 years, practically grew up with the owner. Traveled thousands if not millions of miles.

Thanks Brothers! I've been kind of the go to guy when it comes to spiritual questions. Sometimes you just gotta hit the "I don't know" button.

Wow, sorry to hear that man. Best wishes to everyone in getting through a very trying time.
Semi's are dangerous, now way around it. They should really regulate a little tougher on the hours they drive, qualifications, etc. I had a 24 year old cousin that had been married for a month, working as an EMT. He went out on a call with another guy at 6 AM one day and the ambulance was struck head on by a semi where the driver had fallen asleep. Both were killed instantly.
