I've been looking for an amp like this for nearly 2 years. Then 2 months ago I bought something else - less desirable of course.

Time to sell and get the ultimate combo. I have to say, a 1x12 combo works in many places where the half stack or head with 2x12 is just overkill. I've played several small clubs where a 1x12 combo worked fine especially when mic'd. There is nothing like the barrage of sound and tone coming at you from a 4x12, that's for sure. But a 1x12 combo is just right if you ask me. Can't wait for mine.

Not time for ME to sell anything but ronmail65 might need to unload the current gear. Although I'm sure you got something pretty nice. What is it by the way and how do you like it?

So can someone confirm this is a 40/20w Quick Rod in a combo form factor?
It is also very puzzling to me as to why it does not have reverb. I can kind of understand with the space constraints in the heads but there should be room in the combo no?

Yeah, I don't know. The Comp is single channel though. I just noticed the Combo doesn't have any Gears.
The closest spec wise is actually the SuperStock but I've read several references on here about it being a Quick Rod combo. I guess all of Scott's amps are based off the Quick Rod so I don't know.

Answers to some questions.... this is based on conversations I had with Josh at Splawn before I placed my order.
Yes, this is a QuickRod-based amp rated at 40W (or 20W on half power). It has the gears, it has solo boost, it has OD 1/2, it has the loop volume, it has the FX loop (-10/+4), it has the new clean channel, it has the same tone controls, and it has a half power switch. Because the amp only has 2 power tubes, the half power switch is actually a pentode / triode switch like on the Competition. This means you don't have to halve your ohms setting when going to half power. The only thing the amp doesn't have, as compared to the QR, is the Gain knob on the clean channel. Therefore, if you really crank the clean channel volume it will get gainey.
And, yes, they are trying to put some clips together.

I want one just for the volume drop ! My QR is 50 watt mode is too loud for most things. But 20 watts.... now that is intriguing.
I must have one of these.
