I just got the Nova system and have a ProMod and QuickRod that I want to use in stereo. But first, I'm having trouble even getting it to work in the effects loop of one of the amps. Does anyone have this system and why can't I seem to get it working in the effects loop? I've done everything the manual and videos say, it's not too difficult in that regard. However, I'm getting no signal as soon as I hook this thing up. I use the master loop volume in back as my overall master volume and am wondering if that is supposed to be maxed out or what? I can't seem to get the Nova system to do anything and it cuts out my signal on the amp entirely when hooked up in the loop. I've pushed in and out the +4 and -10 button. Same with the loop bypass button. Any suggestions or a site I can go to that will explain in better detail? Thank you to anyone that can help as I loved my TC nova delay and mod pedals and thought I was going in the right direction but so far I'm just getting frustrated.

first you need to determine if the problem is with the amp or the effects . Plug a cord into the in and out of the effects loop with a no effects and see if the loop functions properly . If it does then the problem is either in the cords or the effects unit . If it doesn't then you have an amp problem . If every thing checks out with the effects and the amp then you need to contact tc electronic . They are suppose to be really helpful

Thanks Splatter. I've switched cables and I don't have any issues with my pedals in the loop (TC Electronic nova pedals and BBE Sonic Stomp) but this new Nova System just isn't working in the loop. I cannot figure it out. I am getting the impression that I have to go in and set levels internally before it will work? I didn't think it would be this big a deal. I will be calling TC Electronics I believe. Thanks for the suggestions.

Maybe the new pedal is set up to run at a different (instrument / line) level???

Thanks. I cannot believe it but I still get absolutely nothing when I run in the effects loop. I don't want to run in front of the amp because I don't want the preamp of the Nova System used, I want the Splawn preamp used. There must be some master output or something but for the life of me I can't find it. I went in where it has input levels and output levels for each program but that didn't do anything either. I'm about to go back to a Carbon Copy delay, Hardwire Reverb pedal and some type of chorus. That's all I really need but this Nova system has all this and so much more. I had no idea it would be this difficult. I'm no idiot but this thing makes me feel like one.

Well, I just went to that forum and read a ton of stuff. I can see this thing will be headache numero uno for me. I'm sending back unless someone wants it. What an idiot I am for thinking an all in one unit would be easy. 3 pedals is about all I need so I think I'm back to old school way. If anyone is interested, I will sell for $450. That is $50 less than paid and it's only a week old.

I just bought the nova delay and its almost to much tweeking but I think I finally got it whipped . Sorry it didn't work out for you

There is another member here that uses the Nova thru a Nitro with pretty good results. His user name is fastredponycar. Give him a shout I'm sure he could give some guidance. It shouldn't be that difficult, I'm running the G-sys into a Nitro with great results. It was confusing at first but when the light bulb came on I was off and running. Hang in there!

That is very possible and was thinking that. I will try through something else. Thanks and if still a problem I might get a hold of fastredponycar. Thanks again.

Thanks man. I hate to say it but I sent it back already. I'll bet that would have been the trick but after messing with it I decided to go back to pedals. Maybe I'll go through this phase again and try it but for now I'm gonna go old school with the effects. I don't use them all the time anyway so it's all good.

LOL! sounds like me ."Screw this I'm going back to pedals ." Don't you hate it when you buy something with great expectations and it turn out to be a pain in the a$$.BTW the tc nova delay is pretty simple and works great.
