Hi Everyone,
I am new to the world of Splawn, having just bought a Splawn Pro Stock w/a Splawn 4x12". I have a couple of very basic questions. Please pardon my ignorance.
First, I have a TC Electronic G-Major effects processor to run in the loop. I see that the head has 2 settings for the loop (I'm guessing one is for rack effects and the other is for stompboxes, but I don't know) - which way should I set it for a G-Major?
Second, I normally connect only 1 speaker enclosure to the head, which is set to 16 ohms. Simple enough, I just plug into the 16 ohms jack. What if I want to connect 2 enclosures? The head has 2 speaker outs. Do I leave it set to 16 ohms and connect each out to the 16 ohm jack of a speaker cab? Or does the fact that I am running 2 cabs change how I should set the amp or which jack I should plug into? And is there any advantage to running at different ohmages?
Again, sorry for my ignorance. I just want to use my Splawn properly and avoid damaging it.

I just want to use my Splawn properly and avoid damaging it. Set the loop to +4 for rack F/X (typically) and -10 for pedals. I'm pretty sure the T.C. unit is designed to run at line (+4) level. As for the speaker... if you're using one 16-ohm cab, set the ohm selector to 16. If you're using two 16-ohm cabs, set it to 8. If you're using one 8-ohm cab, set it to 8, Two 8-ohm cabs, set it to 4. Also, if your amp has a half power switch you'll need to reduce the ohm setting by 1/2 if you set the amp to half power. Just a "heads up" in case.

Thanks! I appreciate the info!
I have one more question. I find that I typically run my Pro Stock in 2nd Gear, with the Overdrive on. I really don't need the footswitch, other than to activate the Overdrive, and I'd like to keep the floor clear of things I don't use. My question is, can I activate the Overdrive without the footswitch?

My question is, can I activate the Overdrive without the footswitch? I don't believe you can put the amp into OD2 without the foot switch. How would you engage the solo boost? If you don't use the solo boost, I guess you could always hook up the foot switch, set the amp to Gear 2 / OD2 and stash the foot switch behind the amp or somewhere else.
