I took the advice of a guy on this board and purchased a Flying Dragon Boost pedal by Lizard Leg effects. This this is awesome...great boost and doesnt alter you tone at all. Im running first gear and OD2. It really makes it come alive..real EVH like.

Greetings bmoore77, Was wondering what kind of tubes you're running...Also, do you have to buy direct from Lizard Leg? I'm using a TS-808 stock reissue. Is it worth the$$ for the Flying Dragon?

Im running Mullard. I got the pedal from some ebay store. I have never used a TS-808 so I dont know how I would compare them but I really like the fact that it doesnt color the tone at all. Also it only has one knob! When you turn it up to about 3/4 up you get the saturation that alot of people seem to be wanting on this forum. Im quite happy with it because it actually does what I needed it to do without altering the tone. Do you run anything though the loop of your amp. I run a Rocktron Intellifex (the old one) but I wanted to know if there was anything that works the best with these amps for reverb and delay. Any help would be appreciated.

That sounds like what I was looking for. I bought the TS-808 from a bud of mine for $60.00 so that was a no brainer...I use it with the drive at 0, tone at noon, and output at 1 O'Clock, mostly in 2nd gear, OD2. It sounds great, but definitely bumps the mids and rolls off the bottom somewhat. I don't know if that's a bad thing since I'm running JJ KT-88's....as far as the loop goes.....hmm.....there are a lot of guys on this forum that swear by analog stuff as far as chorus and delay go....but..... for me, I like digital. To me it's much more spacial and clean. I'm using Digitech Multi Chorus and DigiDelay in the loop, setting loop level at -10. They sound incredible. Check out the user reviews on Harmony Central. They really are versatile, great sounding pedals. No noise and can be picked up at a fair price.Check them out and good luck in your tone quest. You bought a Splawn so you're headed in the right direction! Thanks for the tip on the Flying Dragon and welcome to the family
