I have no idea whats in my 2009 Competition so I was just wondering what you guys have and or using?
found out they are Tung Sol's
How are the JJ's Do they add more gainor something?

Until i got a splawn i always used jj tubes ,and loved them.I got them from euro tubes ,very knowledgeable tube guy.Check out his site.euro tubes

Do you get a lot more gain or something like that with the JJ's?

In my opinion the JJ's sound a little warmer/darker and the Tung Sols have a real clear 3D quality to them. Try mixing them by sticking a JJ in the V1 or V2 spot. Check the manual if you are not sure where those are. |

Don't know haven't tried them in this amp YET.I know I'm not to fond of the tungs. I have a pro stock that i am going to order all JJ tubes .I will let you know.Maybe not more gain but a fuller toney sound.

He ships everything with Tung Sol 12AX7's these days. You won't have an option when ordering regarding pre amp tubes. |
