After almost selling my Competition like an a$$hole I now get it. I just put in a new pickup in one of my guitars (SD Custom Custom) and WOW WOW WOW. Messed with the setting for an hour and Bam kickass tones. Now It sounds killer with my Jackson with EMG 81/85's. I just can't wait to hear what my ErnieBall Music Man JP6 sounds like. I feel bad and like a fool that I almost sold the king of tone. Let the name bashing start

I don't think you'll get any abuse, as you did the right thing and persevered. (Shred may try however ;D) One of the greatest days in my musical life was getting my first Splawn and realising I didn't have to spend anymore money on amps...Apart from the little Blackstar! I think the moral of this story is 'TJ knows what he say!'

Glad to see you took some time with the amp. I think you'll find that the more time you spend with it the more you will grow to love it. They're great amplifiers. Just wait til you play it in a live setting and then you'll want to name your firstborn child after it. :-)

Cool! Ya amazing how pups change everything people! Or speakers, wood with the axe your using and so on. My Comp sounds different with all my axes, 2 sound killer, the other I wont use, unless I CHANGE the pickups I just yesterday used the 1st Gear (second channel) with my grey mod boost, its GOLDEN TONE, ALA Lynch/Halen Malmsteen. Less gain thru the head with a transparent boost, and its ORGANIC gain heaven. SMOOOOOOOTH!
