What's so terrible about it? Just curious, as I'm not a huge KSE fan and I haven't heard anything from the new album yet. joelaroint said it best "fluff" all filler..no killer!! i used to like killswitch but as i stated for me their last CD is a step back but this is a whole new level of stepping back!! again i know there are going to be people that say i am crazy and that they love this CD but i hate this disc!! it is like they wanted to get a little softer to get more emo fans or something with the whining and crying singing parts, the last time i checked the guys in killswitch were not starving!! they sell a boatload of Cd's and play HUGE tours in large venues so why change a good thing?? i want to repeat that there are a few (too few though) bright spots on the disc and i think the last 3-4 songs are better but by that time they would have to have been the best tunes they have ever wrote to make up for it. what it boils down to is listen to it for yourself and then see what YOU think. me..i'll pass on KSE from now on until they do something to make me think otherwise!

I'm on the other side of the fence with KSE. IMO they have done just about all they can do with the hardcore screaming vocals. It is time they let Howard sing and have a song that breaks into the mainstream. KSE is VERY popular and has very loyal fans, but you don't hear them on the radio (local not XM etc). As sad as it sounds corporate radio is still the best advertisement for bands. Every band goes through a makeover at some point in their careers. I liked the last album the best since it used Howards singing ability more instead of him yelling unknown lyrics that no one can sing along to while sitting in afternoon traffic. I see your points though. You like the hardcore vox. I prefer singing with an occasional scream. If the new album is more singing and less yelling and screaming then I'll probably like it. I have a hard time listening to a whole KSE album though. I lose interest after about 4 songs if there is nothing in the chorus etc that I can sing along to. Just my opinion and by no means is this a dig on them. KSE is awesome!

He has a powerful voice that hits me in the spine!!! Its more the music that I'm talking about. If I had to pick one cd over the others I would have to say that I like daylight dies best also. The music on that cd still had the GRRRRRRRRRRRRR(for lack of a better term)that I love. I've listened to reckoning a bunch of times and it's starting to grow on me so maybe I should the new cd a chance.I pre-ordered it so it will be hear soon GOD BLESS KSE!!

I just downloaded the whole album and I actually like it.Its way better than Daylight Dies and I will agree with one of the statements above about the part in "I will do anything" at 2:06.That is HEAVY as hell.I love the fact that Howard is singing more. There are some Maidenish moments in some of the songs.I wont go all out with a review as I have not given it alot of listens yet(been busy packing).Anyway, just my two cents.

I'm the ultimate KsE fan and I don't like the new album that much. There was pictures of them with a dual/triple rec, vintage modern, and 5150 but that was probably just Joel messing around for scratch tracking. I know for a fact that there was no 5150 on this album. VH4 was main amp, nitro for distorted overdubs. Also if anyone cares Joel and Adam from KsE both just got there 2nd nitros built (Joels is a white plexi with gold hardware) and Adam's is like the same but all black I am pretty sure. They're using them in europe and once they come back home they're leaving the amps there so they don't have to ship over amps next time they play in euro.

This is starting to sound like the Metallica Black Album debate.

I just bought the cd tonight and I'll listen for a few days to form an honest opinion. It could take longer but I'm not going to make a knee jerk comment and stick my foot in my mouth after 2 listens...I've been known to do that before.
So far pretty killer but I just wished the Nitro's had played a larger role.

As far as the dvd I get the feeling they are not to sure about how this cd was put together. I bet Adam or somebody else produces the next one!!
