i play a splawn pro mod with 4 KT88 power tubes. the thing has been absolutely rock solid. but today during rehearsal, my volume starting decreasing, and then sound halted altogether. it would return sporadically, but would mostly be very quiet.
after i shut it off for about half an hour, i powered it back on and it worked fine.
i really don't need that to happen during a gig!
is this an indicator that the power tubes are going out? what gives?
i replaced the preamp tubes a couple weeks ago, i don't know if this is relevant, i just wanted to include this information.
