I am perplexed here. Everytime I use the neck pickup on either of my Gibson customs through the dirt channel of my Nitro I get wild, crazy feedback. The guitars do not do this on my Mesa DR .
I know a lot of factors could go into this but at club volume with medium gain and no pedals I still get this crazed microphonic stuff. I put 4 new tungsols in the preamp and nothing changed. I use an ISP Decimator ans the issue still occurs.
My EB Music Man and Wolfgang do not have this problem. My Jackson dinky w/screaming demon pickups also do not do this.
Anyone else encounter this ?

never heard of that. What pickups do they put in the customs?

Burstbuckers I believe. From what I have read this is common problem in LP's. May have to remove the pickup covers or have a tech repot ( apply more wax) to the pickups.
I am still googling this issue but that is what I have found so far.

I have burstbucker pro's in my epiphone custom and I don't have that problem. I really don't like the bridge pickup but the neck sounds great.

Had to have the pickups repotted. Guitar is in the shop.

Update : the pickups were not potted. My tech waxed them and now no more feedback issues.

Cool.. Problem solved. Sometimes, packing in a little foam around the gap in the pickup pocket will solve the issue as well.

yea , burstbuckers are not potted . The pros are . All the historics and I think the customs that come from the custom shop have plain burstbuckers which aren't potted.
