Do you like the run your effects before or in the loop? What's the best rack system/pedals to run with the Comp?

I think like any amp, you want time-based stuff (reverb, delay) in the loop so that they occur after the distortion, and things like overdrives and wahs in the front. Modulation type stuff can be used in either for a different effect. It sounds best on its own, though.

I have reverb and delay in the loop that I use very sparingly. I agree with Ayton, though. The effects are there to cover my playing, not to change the tone LOL.

Thank Gregg I have a TC Electronics unit with slight delay only, although you can add reverb etc, but I dont, with a a little taste of delay only you have a sweet live type tone similar to EVH / LYNCH. I have to say TC Electronics ANY model/make is THE BEST out there, simply put, its organic/warm/rich and what our ears want to hear.
