I have a Port City Oversized 2x12 w/ Vintage 30's & I'm wondering how that would sound with a QR in front of it?? Any better combination of speakers I could be looking into?? I really don't have plans on getting rid of the cab itself as it's top of the line.

I don't know the cab, but V30s are what we Brits would call a "marmite" issue with Splawns – some love 'em, some can't stand 'em.
You may as well keep the V30s in there until you get your QR, then give it a whirl and see how you like the tone. At least then you'll have a reference point if you decide to go looking for something else. The Splawners will be able to guide you from there. There are a lot of good combinations. I use a Gold and an H30, but only after A/Bing with a Gold and V30 several times, because that sounded great too. A lot of people love the Splawn-branded SB25s. Obviously if you got into the whole thing because you loved Craig's tone you might want a Governor and a Man-O-War in there.

+1 for the gold h30 combo. I have that too and it sounds phenomenal. Still a noob when it comes to cab knowledge, but wouldn't you need to have the gold v30 combo w/ the QR so you can have a 100w cab to match the head?

I'm definitely planning on using the V30's as a reference point, but I was curious if anyone ever used this cab & speakers with a Splawn.

I like V30s but not with the Quickrod. The QR has a strong mid color to it which makes it sound great for overdrive. But, it doesn't work well with V30s. Greenbacks, G12H30s and SB25s are some recommendations that go well with a QR. Everyone's opinion is different so its best that you give the V30 a try anyway. Good luck, hope you find the sound you're looking for.

I personally hate the V30's due to their harsh upper midrange. can't be dialed out.
I prefer the scumbacks myself. I've yet to hear a better sounding speaker to be honest.
