Finally, after over 6 months, my splawn is coming back my way tomorrow. Went back to the motherlands to get fixed after it blew out on me, & I decided it was good as a quick rod, but would be much better as a pro mod. So it got the extra resister & tung-sol 6550s & 12ax7s to complete the package. So I'll be anxiously working from home tomorrow waiting for fedEx to bring back my amp. Here's crossing my fingers for no fedEx damage to the box or my amp. Will report more tomorrow after it arrives. WoooooT! -Brent

They really were a big improvement over the JJ's I had in there. Good luck with Fed-Ex, that's always a gamble!!

Unfortunately it is the only option I believe. My cab came from them all broken boxes with like water soaked almost all the way thru to the amp. I was like WTF? Water damange anyone. Hah. Yeah I am really looking forward to the tung sol tubes. -Brent

Wow, low end baby! haha... I only played for like 10 minutes yesterday if that...had my A tuned 7 string & just rocked out for a few minutes. Very clean, wow...none of that el34 saturation...which I think thus far is pretty good. It's very clean, although it did clean up just about the same as the quickrod did. All in all though, as long as my leads dont show too much stiffness (I suck haha)...I should be fine. Since I play mainly modern low tuned hard rock/metal it seems to be the perfect compliment to my sound thus far though. Will report more soon -Brent

I have gotten used to the stiffness and really like it. Every other amp seems too loosey goosey to me now!

Cool. I love the tightness of the Pro Mod. I jsut got a Nitro with el34b's and I dig that too but am thinking of putting the KT88's in it. I hope I get the same tightness. Do you think it will react the same as the Pro Mod?
