Pulling 2 tubes. Change speaker impedence?

Hello,

I have a '59 Splawn modded Marshall w/ MM tranfo and kt-88's.

The spring retainer on one power tube broke and killed the tube. So is it ok to pull two tube and run on the other two tubes? Do I have to change the impedence selector? Thanks!

I would call Splawn and ask them. They are ALWAYS very helpful.

Yeah, just run either the two inners or two outers and turn your impedence down a notch. 16 goes to 8. 8 goes to 4.
