The Framus Cobra is in the same ballpark and has a third channel. I have played one several times and even gigged with one at a couple shows. The clean is real good and the high gain is just destructive. It has a ton of low end.

I was actually speaking of the site I posted, the entire site is the Nitro compared to other amps, but I just found out the new site is being developed, it should be ready after christmas..lol
"WOW - the NITRO Packs a Punch - but exactly what is this amp offering. We compare this amp with other leading brands such as Various Marshall Amps, Mesa Boogie, THD, V30 and even a VG-99 and show you whether this amp really cuts it "

Hey Shawn, That is gonna be a cool site!! There are other good amps out there but none BETTER than the Nitro. Will the Cobra be on there? I think it is the closest but not as organic and certainly not as well built and reliable as a Nitro...

hahaha this one is great www.splawnamps.co.uk/v30_head.htmlI own both and the splawn absolutely crushes it. however... for low gain smooth blues and stuff, man... the V30 is just SOOO perfect.

not bad. Though I find it humorous all the guys at harmony central who have sold ENGL's in favor of the splawns. I've owned a lot of the amps compared to the nitro such as the DSL, Univalve and currently still own a crate (which actually has nothing to do with crate or their engineers except that Crate funded the American technicians at St. Louis music to build it then slap a crate logo on it) tone tubby V3112T combo and mine has an fx loop and the low gain and dirty cleans that the crate gets are simply untouchable from the nitro.... though I think with a really good overdrive tossed onto the nitro's clean channel, it'd work. something like this. www.wamplerpedals.com/pinnacle_2
