how hard is it to mod a nitro to take KT88's ? I see a lot of EL34 nitros for sell..wondering if it might be worth it to buy a used one and have it modded for kt88 then just order my custom headshell for it.That way I wouldnt have much down time and I could sell my other amps cheaper to get one faster.

Is going from kt88 to el34 harder than this? Would you have to remove the stock resistor. I am wanting to order a supercomp & am not sure wich tubes to go with... Any imput welcome.

just get the KT's they outshine the EL34's in every way.
but yes, you'd simply remove the piggy backed resistor to step the voltage down then bias for EL34's.
