im getting a splawn superstock. due to me being broke i have to get an avatar cab until i can afford the splawn cab
so i was thinking the vintage 2x12 with g12h30's
should it be a 16 ohm cab? i plan on running the head on half power (where in the manual it says "always set the amps impedance to half of the speaker cabs impedance when using half power")
and also since im already making a thread can someone please explain how ohms work in terms of head to cab? i was searching it last night and most of the answers i got gave me and idea but werent too specific
thank you

what do you mean head to cab ? If the head is set for 8 ohms then the cab should be 8 ohms or greater . Unless the head is set for 1/2 power then it would be 16 ohms or greater . It won't hurt a head to run a higher rated cab . for example a head set @ 8ohms can run a 16 ohm cab but don't run a lower rated cab, i.e. 8 ohm head and 4 ohm cab . this will burn the transformer up. Hope this helps.
