And no new posts in this section. I feel like the Maytag repairman in here.

Exclusivity has it's price. Don't lose your focus.
OH GOD I'M SO LONELY.

Let's go in the Nitro section and act like we own one. I'm going to say I tune down a full octave, and that my headshell was covered in what was left of Michael Douglas's face lift.

Man I love my comp more and more every day, screw those QR owners and their clean channel. (actually i'd really like a clean channel)

I'm playing a QR tomorrow. Someone local who tried out my Compy ended up with a QR and offered me a test drive. Should be interesting. I will not be buying one, however, as the economy has forced us to downsize and I'll be lucky to still be employed in 4 months time. I just want to investigate the differences, if any - and hopefully finally put to rest a few things that are on my mind.
Seems like I was the only Splawn brother in these parts for a long time. Now just recently I've come in contact with three others. Met one the other night at the Lynch seminar, and two folks who played mine now own a Comp and a QR. Whoever comes in contact with a Splawn gets infected with the GAS.
Always pleased to spread the word.

Cool matt that will give us another perspective on the comp being more aggressive and the QR being smoother.

Jammed with the band in 25W mode last night. I dig that mode - call me strange. Sounds like more sugar in the tone to me, just IMO.

Oh it's beautiful. You lose the angry bite and get this lush, flowing lyrical gain. A lot easier to play too, for your down days, and it sounds good all the way down to zero on the master! Triode is golden and sweet, like the top of hot apple pie. ;D
Interested to hear those QR impressions, Jam. Except, of course, if you say OMG I am trading for a QR tomorrow I have been such a fool. Then, you and I, we don't talk.

No don't get me wrong, I don't have any problems with the tone at all. I have a few nagging questions with regard to background noise, switching, effect loop stuff - that sort of thing that Ayton has had to endured numerous rounds of questioning . Being this is my 1st real amp, I have pretty much zero frame of reference, and just wanted to get that perspective. Youtube videos don't do it for me, I have to hear and play things in person to understand.
