I'm falling in love with my Nitro all over again. I started running it through my 2x12 since I was sick of carrying the 4x12 up the stairs after gigs. I'd never run the Nitro through the 2x12, which is loaded with a Governor and a Wizard, and it's like a totally different amp!
The Governor is just a wicked speaker with this amp! So much thump, smooth highs and complex midrange. My 4x12 has MoWs and H30s in an X pattern, and I am definitely going to pull the H30s out and put Govs in. It's just killer tone!
Anybody run all Govs with a Nitro? I was thinking about that, but maybe the MoWs will be a nice balance.
I'm getting those warm and furry-sounding lead tones with my PRS SC250 by throwing my Fulltone OCD in front of it and playing on the neck pickup. Ahhh, bliss. ;D
I was contemplating offing the Nitro for a Herbert, but the Nitro STAYS! My wallet just breathed a sigh of relief...

Yeah man, I see your rig has grown even more! That's a killer setup you have, I'm really wanting my QR back now to go with the Nitro. I'll pick another one up soon enough I'm sure.
Haven't been around much, I had been writing and practicing non-stop and then I just got back into town after being in the studio for a month recording my band's first CD. Thankfully the producer is a Quickrod junkie! ;D
I think I'm going to go for the Gov/MoW setup. Do you know how the two speakers compliment each other versus an all Gov loaded cab?
Also, how hard is it to swap the speakers out? Just some soldering?
Good to see you brother! Take it easy.
