100 watter reissue w/KT88's
Do you follow normal bias chart settings(around 52/54mA per tube)
or do Splawn Marshalls need different settings?

I'd just call Splawn. I called earlier this week with a similar question. Josh was all over it and very patient with my nOOb questions.

...share the wealth bruddha prs, I have a Competition. With EL34s, Josh recommended to bias between 30 and 32 (milliamps??), not to exceed 34. I don't know how that translates to a Splawn modded Marshall w/ KT88s. I'll go check that link. Those clips are way old and pre-Splawn. Just checked - Soundclick must be jacked up, I can't get anything to play either. |

Yeah,total differant tube Matt.
Usual bias setting for KT88's is 220mA total. Just wondering if the Splawn mod will be any differant.

I think this question may have been answered in the Splawn Pro Mod thread.
50ma is what Scott said the Pro Mod bias should be and he does bias a bit on the cold side.
Call him to make sure.
