How do those Andersons sound/compare to others.Are they high output or more like PAF's.Just curious.

How do those Andersons sound/compare to others.Are they high output or more like PAF's.Just curious. I have had alot of pickups over the year's and I have always favoured the sound of the Anderson pickups as my experience has been they are always clearer and more precise sounding to my ears. They are described very well on the website www.andersonguitars.com under the sound reference part. The H2 is medium middle of the road with a slightly more grind than a PAF will work with high or low gain well. The H3 (Mesa tests all there amps with this pickup) in Hot medium, lots of balls, very articulate with nice bottom end, very easy to get harmonic's and sounds amazing with any style amp, cleans up ok but if you like that the H2 is better. The HO1- is a neck pickup very PAF like, and really nice single coil sounds when split. Hope this helps you. |
