I'm not going to sweat it. I fixed the damaged and it is barely noticable now. I guess it gives it character. I didn't get a Bible verse written on the inside though. Did he stop writing them on the inside of cabs? I was looking forward to seeing what verse I got.

Well on the bright side of this,.... I heard the Door bell ring this morning and I peaked out the window to see the FedEx truck sitting out there,... I knew full well that it wasn't my 4X12 and Head shell,... so I opened up the door and it was my Splawn Shirt .... the good news was that the box was in PERFECT shape,...just like the guy had wrapped it up in the truck when he pulled up to my house ... I proceeded to tell the guy that I would be expecting two larger packages sometime in the next week or so,..and that he should be VERY carful with it Rick

i only had bad luck with FedEx. They fooked up two of my Dean guitars, lost another Dean #1 ltd run of 24units, sent me a bill 4 months later for duty charges on a guitar that I never got!! like wtf ? But UPS is just as bad if not worse.

USPS, i find ok... thats shipping into Canada. I've used them often and never really had an issue. A couple of times the clerk fooked up the info they gave me. For example, I was shipping out an ESP i sold to this dude in Texas, clerk tells me "such a service will get it there for about $23 and give it 6 to 10 business days" other option was something like $49 3 days, so I said ok do the $23. Well it took 43 days to get there... the buyer was freaking out on me, filed a complaint with paypal etc... then a reop tells me "well it SHOULD take 10 days at the most, but with THAT service, it can take up to 45 days". So small bullsh!t like that. UPS, worst than FedEx, they smashed up a Mesa 2:50 i bought once and because the seller cut the box down to fit the amp better (get a snug fit inside) they claimed it wasnt properly packed and refused the insurance!! that was a lot of bullsh!t... so the dude refunded me almost $280 for the repairs that needed to get done.

Do USPS offer a tracking service?

With some of the services they offer you can... with the econo (Priority Mail) sevice they dont... you'll get a number that tells you its been picked up and delivered but no "point to point" tracking. If you use global mail (or something like that) you'll have point to point tracking.

The thing with USPS is you must insist when dropping off the package that it be scanned - ask for a receipt, don't take their word for it. Many times when I'd ship something priority they'd be too lazy to scan it and there would be no tracking until it actually arrived at the destination hub.

I have had no problems shipping and receiving with USPS and it is twice as fast as FedEx and UPS. It is also cheaper. Doesn anyone know what they put on the cabs and head shells? It is some smelly oily stuff. Kinda like afrosheen. I had to clean the darn thing twice to get the smell out of the studio.
