I have a QR and on the over drive there is so much Humm it is aweful I put new tubes in it and it still humms I even ran it with out any thing hooked up. I also made sure that the loop was off tried many differant guitars. Help me before I get rid of it e-mail me at snoopy1@isoc.net I want to keep it Thanks Mike

Do you have the 60 cycle humm? From what I've experianced with high gain amps, if the gain is turned all the way up, your going to get some type of noise. It's really never quite, unless you back off the gain a bit. Does it still hum when you turn your guitar down? Are your tubes fresh, amd matched? Does it humm at lower volumes, with the gain backed down?

Try plugging it into another outlet and even in a different room. Hope this helps...

Thanks for the response. Yes I have fresh tubes different room outlet and different gain levels dont even have to have a guitar plugged in. getting very sad I'm going to take it to my first gig Friday and have a back up we will see what happens. Thanks Mike

Sounds like a ground problem. I get no hum with gain cranked. Are you playing under or near florescent lighting or anything weird like that?

I think I'm getting some hum, but my amp's practically on top of my pc and monitor..so I'm pretty sure that's what's doign it

Mine is dead silent - but I also run the power through a Monster Cable silent power supply - and it's not close to a monitor! Yaargh!

yeah man I use real good cables too. I bought a few of those $70 monster cables for speaker and guitar,, and george L's for my tuner and MXR pedal. No hum at all.
