I'm curious to know what exactly you'd want to mod about it? I can't think of much you'd want to mod it to do.

The only thing I would do is put a switch on the amp for clean/distortion and OD1/OD/2. If I had that I would have no need for the clunky footswitch because I stay on OD-2 Gear 2 all night. Since I alreday run 15 pedals the last thing I need is another footswitch!

Your not looking to have another gain stage put in....are ya? That could be an option. I don't know, I've modded every other tube amp I've had in the gear room, feels weird that this one isn't modded. I was also thinking about messing with some of the cathode resistors and maybe the plate resistors. But it's difficult to realyl try to figure out what to do without a schematic, and it would appear that these are top secret

If it's not broke, then why fix it? If you really want to know, just ask DC. I think he's a QR guy run'n 34's. What does your PM have?

KT88s
I like to mod stuff, thats why fix it. I'm a tinkerer, I believe no amp is perfect, so I try and work on it until its closer to perfect.

maybe an extra gain stage would be cool. Do I have to talk to scott to get a schematic?

I think its pretty much perfect but you can always buy a Nitro or a tube screamer if you need the extra gain.
I think you'll have better results though if instead of tinkering with the amps you just tinker with your playing a bit.
