Not sure who all has the KT88 version nitro around here but I've got a local amp tech who's worked on old JCM's and plexi's that has offered to do this for me but I need to know what parts are required to convert an EL34 nitro to KT88's and any instruction/pictures he can reference.
PM or email me the pics/intsructions if posting them in public is frowned upon.

Thanks guys!

Do this mod. It really opens the amp up quite a bit and tightens the lows!

Why not try some KT77s in there before modding it for KT88s?
No modding needed. the KT77s are direct replacement for EL34s. They're open the sound more. make the lowend more tight and thicker.. and the mids and highs will be a bit more aggressive.

This clip does not do it justice but the first half is the KT77 loaded Nitro and the second half is the KT88 loaded Nitro (about a minute 34 in...). I am diggin' the 88's personally. www.netmusicians.org/files/75-7162008.mp3

I've owned KT77's before and the Ruby EL34BSTR's are bigger and more full sounding than they are. I'm looking for the next step up. More percussive clean headroom and what not.
