Our rythem player really needs a new amp. He just sold his Genz Benz El Diablo and now is amp-less. He really likes the tone of the nitro I use and is considering one for himself. he's looked into the QR's and really isn't too intersted in their voicing. As a rythm guitar player, he wants more of that low end grunt that the nitro brings.
While I know the sound will be huge, I'm wondering if it'll be good or if the two will sort of mush together and leave the two of us indistinguishable?
I've got an MXR 10 band eq pedal that either of us could use to do any extra eq'ing needed. We've got a couple of different cabs we'd use as well. I mean, I've got my buzzbomb and a splawn 4X12 on order (no speakers yet) and he's got a bogner OS 2X12 w/V30's which really didn't jive at all with the nitro's low end and I'm assuming he'll be getting a splawn 4X12 if he gets a nitro.
so anyways, I was curious if you guys knew whether or not running a pair of these would be desirable or if there are any compelling arguments to have him seek a different amp?

I think a Quickrod would be a better complement to round out the sound. But that's just me!

Your bass player would become useless lol It's about to that point already ;D I had to turn the low end down at our first practice so he could hear himself.

My band has been running two Quickrods and two Splawn 4-12's for years and the sound is massive. The guitar is a like a wall of clarity and punch. I'm sure 2 Nitro's would also sound amazing.

My band Fireproof (myspace.com/mutte) has been using two Nitro's for about six months and the sound is great. I Have a KT77 and our ex-rhythm guitarist had a KT88. Now that our rhythm guitarist is gone I am buying another Nitro for the new rhythm player to use. Just make sure to allow your drummer and bass player to be heard. Two Nitro's will provide a WALL of sound. Our songs on the myspace were all recorded on a Pro-Mod. Can't wait to hit the studio sith the Nitro!!!
