since I'm a moron, I gotta ask..
I read somewhere on some site (not sure which one) that when you engage the half power switch, you gotta go from 16 to 8 ohms on the head??? is this true?

heres the "skinny" on the 1/2 power......
When you are in Full power all of the ohms are as marked...Now when going to the 1/2 power...all ohms are twice as marked...Its like what happens when you pull two tubes out.
full power - 1/2 power
16 - n/a
8 - 16
4 - 8

so if I'm runnin' a 16 ohm cab, I should move the switch on the back of the head to 8 when on 1/2?

yeah
Full power 16 ohm cab = 16 ohms on the head
1/2 power 16 ohm cab = 8 ohms on the head
Make sense?

yep, makes sense =) I'll have to try that tomorrow at volume to see what it sounds like! LOL..well, all I gotta say is this..you know you have a loud amp when you can turn the master down any lower and it still has sound commin' outta it  |
